My process has 5 steps.

I am an expert in both design and development. The process I use allows me to produce a concept, execute it, and maintain it without extra expenses needed for outsourcing, or unnecessary iteration between multiple, separate teams. It is a wholistic, end to end process that produces well rounded, exceptional results.

Competitive Analysis

Understanding the competition and the market enables the work to stand out and excel above the rest. For every project, I closely examine the competition and use my findings to create effective solutions. The images below are examples of annotated competitive analysis done for Melity’s website redesign. Click on either image to see the full case study.

User Flows and Personas

If you don’t know your user, you can’t sell to them. A deep dive of a user’s behaviors, thought processes, and outside factors that influence their decisions allow me to cater the product directly to them. Below are examples of a persona and user flow for a new app by AllTrack Solutions to aid HVAC technicians in maintaining their projects. Brand identity leads to brand recognition and is the cornerstone for building a strong reputation while allowing you to stand out from the competition. Branding is about more than just a logo. It establishes a relationship with the customer and enhances the customer experience.

Logo Design

A company’s logo is its ambassador to the world. As part of my branding package, I offer logo design and redesign. Below are two examples of logos that I created for clients that were used on their websites.

 Brand Style Guides

The final piece of my branding package is putting together a style guide defining logo uses, color palettes, font choices, and other style choices that are used in all instances of brand representation. The styles defined in the brand style guide apply to all other aspects of the project including print material, digital marketing material, websites, and applications.

I start the design process by using UX/UI design principles and information that was gathered from the research stage, to create the structure for websites in lo-fidelity wireframes.

Then, I add in the design elements according to the style guide, and use the resulting hi-fidelity wireframes to create clickable prototypes.

I remain consistent with the style guide when designing print work and digital ads as well.

Websites

Responsive website design is essential. There are so many devices available now with different sized screens and all must be accounted for in order to keep the user experience beyond satisfactory and turn visitors into users. Below are screenshots of a website prototype for both desktop and mobile.

Web and Mobile Applications

User experience and the user flow is just as important to consider when creating web and mobile applications. Clickable prototypes help to test and demonstrate the user flow before the application goes into production.

Print Design

Below is an example of some print work that I created for the non-profit organization InTandem. This is a flyer that they had handed out at one of their big events.

Digital Ads

Part of promoting and supporting a company’s brand is making sure that they have all the materials they need to distribute to the public. This includes digital ads that are consistent with the brand such as the ones seen below.

I use my expertise in front-end development that includes knowledge of several coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SASS, SCSS, and Angular.js to take the designs that we create together and bring them to life.

Websites

I create websites on multiple platforms such as Wordpress, Drupal, and Joomla. Depending on the needs of the client, I can also create hand coded websites. All of my developed products are an exact match to the design that was created in the design phase, ensuring that there will be no false design promises.

How do you know that your solution works? Testing.

How do you keep your solution working? Maintenance.

I offer testing and maintenance packages that include search engine optimization (SEO) and performance analytics to make sure that the product I create is always working and up to date. I also offer design support packages that include ongoing support for social media graphics, print material, digital ads, photo retouching, or email blasts that can be used for promotional and informative purposes.
